Jacquelyn Kent combined a strong pitching performance with an equally
impressive offensive outing last weekend to lead the Big Blue
Wrecking Crew past High Voltage, 8-3, in a Huntington Beach Girls

Kent went the distance, her pitching victory consisting of nine
strikeouts and three hits.
She also helped her own cause by producing three hits on offense.
Hits by Kent and Lana Rutkin got the Big Blue Wrecking Crew in
gear in the first inning and both scored on Keely Toma’s hit.
Toma later scored to make it a 3-0 game.
After High Voltage scored once in the bottom of the first, Kent
singled and Rutkin walked, and both scored in the second frame to
make it a 5-1 game.
Rutkin scored four runs overall and her double in the fifth inning
scored Hannah Foutz from second base.
Toma finished the game with two hits, Sarah Hernandez had a pair
of RBI and Foutz and Taryn Devich each singled to complete the Big
