Estancia puts Mesa away in city duel

Estancia High’s Eagles were 11-7 winners over Golden West League
rival Costa Mesa Thursday in boys tennis as Scott Braunsdorf swept in
singles, and got some help from the doubles team of Chris Cacho and
Louis Valdes, who also swept for the Eagles, who improved to 5-4, 2-2
in league play.
Mesa fell to 0-3 in the Golden West League.
Costa Mesa travels to Westminster Tuesday, while Estancia draws a
bye.

Sage Hill falls, 12-6
Sage Hill School’s boys tennis team fell to Tesoro in nonleague
play at Park Newport Thursday, 12-6, to fall to 1-4 on the season.
Tesoro improved to 3-2.
The doubles team of Dan Chin and Tristan Cordier stood out for
Sage Hills, winning two of three matches.
The Lightning, which played a nonleague schedule far above the
Academy League level, begins league play on Tuesday.
