Anteaters drop 4-3 decision

The UC Irvine Anteaters women’s tennis team lost to visiting Loyola

Marymount, 4-3, Friday afternoon in nonconference play.

The Anteaters swept doubles for a 1-0 lead, but Loyola Marymount

came back with victories at No. 1 and 2 singles, as well as the 4-5

slots to drop UCI to 4-5 overall.

Hui Leow and Anna Bentzer each won quickly in singles to give UCI

a 3-0 lead before Loyola Marymount closed it out with four straight.

The Anteaters return to the courts on Sunday at 1 p.m. against

visiting Big West Conference rival UC Santa Barbara.
