A bad day in Laguna

Mercy, mercy all this Michael Jackson stuff is really getting to me.

As I found myself standing in the express line at the grocery

store I began counting the items of the person in front of me. I

noted it was a 10 item line, not 15 as the person had. It was a

horrific moment and I found myself in a world of despair.

“What’s next,” I thought, as I answered my cell phone and failed

to say hello to the person checking my items, “an H2 Hummer?”

My day got worse as I drove by the Montage Resort and Spa and saw

that soon that whole stretch of parking will be littered with meters.

A beautiful sight for sore eyes. Perhaps the city can use some of the

money in combating the pollution that ruins Aliso Creek? Mayor Iseman

can you hear me? Wayne Baglin are you there?

I just wonder who votes on these changes because it seems that

these changes just occur over night. Maybe, since our city so

graciously returned our meters back to 15 minutes for a quarter, it

decided that the only way to make up for the lost revenue is by

adding more meters. Hey I have one, maybe you can start charging us

to go the beach and double it when the water’s polluted. That way you

would be sure to make a bundle.

I have one more question? Why do our parking permit stickers say

“shopper” and not “resident?”

Just some food for thought ...

And Cherril you’re right, they are only friends that we have not

met.
