Hat Trix blank Renegades in 2-0 victory

Keeper Avi Press came up with 17 saves, and the Hat Trix posted
another victory in Norris Division play against the Renegades, 3-0.
Jadin Press’ first-period goal proved to be the only score the Hat
Trix would need, but they got insurance goals from Max Olin and Ted
Currie in the second period.
The Renegades’ Matt Bodziak recorded 15 saves.
In other Norris Division games:
Blackhawks 2, Jr. Kings 0
Ian Arnold got the shutout in goal behind 14 saves and the front
play of his defensive teammates as the Blackhawks downed the Jr.
Kings.
The Blackhawks scored in both the first and third periods as
Nicholas Kadletz and Garrett Smith each scored unassisted goals.
Timothy Francis had 23 saves for the Jr. Kings.
Big Dogs 4, Intimidators 1
The Big Dogs broke away from a tight game by scoring three times
in the final period.
Goals by David Mastro, Craig Wellander and Christian Mohl all
scored in the decisive period.
Before he scored the game’s final goal, Mohl had assisted the
goals scored by Mastro and Wellander.
Austin Anderson put the Big Dogs on the scoreboard first with an
unassisted goal in the opening quarter.
Travis Bertrand’s second-period goal brought the Intimidators into
a 1-1 tie.
Jacob Otis finished with 13 saves for the Big Dogs, and Cameron
Nagai had 21 for the Intimidators.
Slickshoes 5, Slugs 4
In the division’s highest-scoring match of the day, Kristian
Burkhardt’s unassisted goal in the final quarter lifted the
Slickshoes to victory.
It was the third goal of the game for Burkhardt, who scored twice
in the opening period and assisted his team’s fourth goal, a
second-period score by Ethan Loy.
Loy scored two goals overall in the game and also had an assist.
Dane Chavez had 21 saves for the Slickshoes, and Cody Nunes
finished with 12 for the Slugs.
