Playing its fourth game over a seventh-game stretch did little to
slow the Ocean View High boys’ basketball team last Saturday.
Taking on defending CIF Division IV-A champion Verbum Dei in a
Nike Extravaganza that featured six games played at The Pyramid in
Long Beach, the Seahawks improved to 15-3 overall with a 69-65
victory over the Eagles (9-6).
Ocean View led throughout the contest and withstood several
challenges by the Eagles, and remained in control by hitting its free
throws down the stretch.

scorers with 25 points. Teammate Greg Okwudibonye combined 15 points
and 10 rebounds, and Casey Ortiz finished with 14 points.
