Alliance Francaise will hold its annual Beaujolais Nouveau

HYDROSTATIC BODY FAT TESTING
The South Coast YMCA will offer appointments for body fat testing
between 9:30 a.m. and noon. The analysis will include a hydrostatic
evaluation, personalized caloric intake/expenditure charts, body fat
recommendations, personalized body fat goals and body composition
literature. The cost is $40. The YMCA is at 29831 Crown Valley

MONDAY
PRINTMAKING WORKSHOP
Laguna Outreach Community Arts will hold a printmaking class as
part of its weekly Art Escapes program. Taught by Mada Leach,
participants will learn how to use a printing press to emboss or
print a unique personal art piece starting at 2 p.m. The class is
$20, plus $5 for materials. Reservations are highly recommended. The
class will meet at the Pottery Shack, 1212 S. Coast Highway.

VILLAGE LAGUNA MEETING
Village Laguna will present newly elected council members
Elizabeth Pearson and Mayor Pro Tem Toni Iseman, who will discuss the
state of the city. Rick Hubbell will also present a mixed-use project
being planned for property just north of the proposed Village
Entrance parking structure. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the
community room in Wells Fargo Bank, 260 Ocean Ave. Guests are welcome

RAKU YAKI WORKSHOP
Laguna Outreach Community Arts will hold a class on painting and
decorating a ceramic vessel taught by Monica Dunham as part of its
weekly Art Escapes program. Participants will learn about the raku
firing process and the art of sumi-e brushwork at 2 p.m. The class
will meet at the Festival of Arts grounds, 650 Laguna Canyon Road.

MEET ELIZABETH PEARSON
The Laguna Canyon Conservancy will host new Councilwoman Elizabeth
Pearson. She will discuss some of the goals and issues she feels are
important and would like to see accomplished in the coming year. The
no-host bar will open at 6 p.m., and the buffet dinner at 6:45 p.m.,
followed by the program at Tivoli Terrace, 650 Laguna Canyon Road.
Dinner tickets are $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers.

HOLISTIC HEALING WORKSHOP
The Healing Place of Laguna Beach will present free workshops
about holistic healing using the bio-energetic synchronization
technique. Students will learn how their thoughts, feelings and

SOUTH LAGUNA PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
The South Coast Water District will hold a meeting for the South
Laguna commercial area planning process. The consultant, Jim
Dockstader, will meet with residents and business owners to discuss
the scope of the project. The main thrust of the study is to
determine what changes in sidewalks, street trees, street lights and
other public facilities would most improve the Village area for
residents and business owners alike. The meeting will begin at 4 p.m.
