Summer baseball camp

Youngsters who wish to get personalized baseball instruction will have
the opportunity to do so the week of July 15th at the Rich Amaral Summer
Baseball Camp.
The camp will offer four days per week of small group instruction
where each individual will learn the advanced skills necessary to become
a more complete baseball player.
Players will be separated according to age and skill level, and will
rotate through several different playing stations daily.
The major emphasis will be on hitting, fielding, infield and outfield
play, pitching defense, base running and bunting.
The July 15-18 camp is open to players ages 6 to 12. Cost per camper
is $140 per week. An “after camp” hitting instruction also is offered, at
$50 per week.
A second week of instruction will be held July 22-25.

Dart tournament with cash prizes
More than $10,000 in cash prizes will be awarded at a dart tournament
hosted by Centerfield Sports Bar & Grill in Huntington Beach, at 17296
Beach Blvd.
The two-day competition will take place on June 22 and 23.

Junior football and Cheerleader sign ups
Huntington Beach Junior All-American Football will hold player and
cheerleader sign ups for its 2002 fall season on June 29 and 30 at Ocean
View High.
Sign ups will be taken on the lawn area adjacent to the parking lot
facing Warner Avenue just east of Goldenwest Street.
