WEATHER FORECAST
The marine layer will kick off the morning, but it’ll clear for a
mostly sunny afternoon, with highs in the mid-70s in Costa Mesa and upper
60s to low 70s in Newport Beach. We should see the same conditions
through the weekend, with a warming trend early next week.

BOATING FORECAST
Fog will be found early and late today. The westerly winds will blow
10 to 15 knots in the inner waters this afternoon, with 2-foot waves and
a west swell of 2 feet. Later, the winds will ease a bit.
Out farther, the westerly winds will also blow 10 to 15 knots, with
2-foot waves and a northwest swell of 4 to 6 feet. The same will be found
this evening.
SURF
The southwest swell will bring us more waist- to chest-high waves
today. This trend should continue through Saturday, when waves increase
into the chest- to shoulder-high range.
