Dance center to present works at the Barclay

The Classical Dance Center studio in Newport Beach, owned by Elizabeth
Huebner, will present three performances in June at the Irvine Barclay
Theater.
The cast will include dancers from both Huebner’s Newport Beach and
Tustin studios. Performances will be at 12:30 and 5 p.m. June 9; 5 and
7:30 p.m. June 10 and 5 and 7:30 p.m. June 11 at 4242 Campus Drive,
Irvine.
Tickets are $15.
Huebner opened the Newport Beach studio last September, where she
offers ballet, jazz, hip-hop and tap lessons for beginners to
pre-professional dancers.

SCR conservatory auditions to end May 27
Auditions for South Coast Repertory’s Professional Conservatory will
last through May 27.
The eight-week summer training program will run June 3-27 and will be
open to 25 students. Classes will be held everyday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Karen Hensel, director of the Professional Conservatory, and a team of
professionals will lead the program.
Past graduates of the Conservatory include Will Ferrell (“Saturday
Night Live”) and Arye Gross (“The Practice”).

Dinner to honor the Schneiders
The Philharmonic Society of Orange County will honor Eva and Fred
Schneider on Sunday at the annual Golden Baton Dinner at the Pacific
Club.
The Schneiders are longtime supporters of the Philharmonic and will be
recognized for their 30-plus years of leadership, commitment and
fund-raising efforts.
The dinner will also highlight the Esterhazy Patrons, a support group
for the Philharmonic.
