Committee positions opening in Newport Beach

The Newport Beach City Council is looking for qualified residents who
are interested in serving a four-year term on various city boards and
commissions. A total of six vacancies will exist when terms expire on
June 30.
The council is looking to fill positions on the following committees:
Board of Library Trustees; City Arts Commission; Civil Service Board;
Parks, Beaches and Recreation Commission; and Planning Commission.
The deadline for filing applications is 4 p.m. May 15. Applications and additional information can be obtained from the City Clerk’s office
at 3300 Newport Blvd., by calling (949) 644-3005 or through the city’s
Web site at o7 www.city.newport-beach.ca.usf7 under “News and Events.”
The City Council will nominate two people for each vacancy at the
council meeting on June 11 and appointments will be made at the following
council meeting on June 25. All appointments will become effective July
1.
