Boys swimming: Uni thumps Sea Kings

IRVINE - A short-handed Corona del Mar High boys swimming team
suffered a 121-46 defeat at the hands of Pacific Coast League host
University Wednesday.
CdM’s Sherwin Kim won the 100-yard freestyle in 49.81, a CIF Southern
Section consideration time, while teammate Jimmy Stack won the 500 free
in 5:14.51.
Matt Meyer (23.83 in the 50 free), Kevin Amendt (1:05.83 in the 100
butterfly and Brian Buhagiar (5:39.24 in the 500 free) all finished third
for the Sea Kings.
CdM Coach Todd Larsen said he was resting several athletes for the CIF
Southern Section Relays, which begin today.
