The Exchange Club of Newport Harbor will present its “Search for
Talent,” a talent contest for kids between the ages of 6 and 18, at 6:30
p.m. March 15 at the Oasis Senior Center, corner of 5th Street and
Marguerite Avenue in Corona del Mar.
Interested children should register to compete by Monday or Tuesday.
Three winners will be chosen -- one from the 6 to 10 age group, one
from the 10 to 14 group and one from the 14- to 18-year-olds.

Auditions to be held for ‘John Brown’s Body’
Orange Coast College’s Theatre Department will hold auditions for
“John Brown’s Body,” its spring musical, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday and
from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
The musical is based on Stephen Vincent Benet’s epic poem. The show
will be staged in early May.

The season end of ‘Beethoven at the Barclay’
The Pacific Symphony Orchestra will conclude its “Beethoven at the
Barclay” chamber music series on March 24 with a concert including four
Beethoven pieces.
The program will highlight the Concerto for Piano, Violin and Cello in
C Major, Op. 56, by the Claremont Trio; the “Ah, Perfido!” aria sung by
Kelly Nassief; and Symphony No. 8 in F Major, Op. 93.
The concert will begin at 3 p.m. at the Irvine Barclay Theatre, 4242
Campus Drive, Irvine.
