BOATING FORECAST
Areas of dense fog will be encountered early. In the inner waters, a
westerly wind will blow 10 to 15 knots this afternoon, generating 2-foot
waves and a west swell of 4 feet. Not much will change later, though the
dense fog will return late.
Out farther, the northwesterly winds will blow 10 to 20 knots, with 1-
3-foot waves and a northwest swell of 7 to 9 feet. Later, the winds will
pick up to 15 to 25 knots, producing 2- to 4-foot waves and an 8- to
10-foot swell.
SURF
The waves are beginning to pick up, as today’s will roll in around the
waist, much more impressive than Tuesday’s knee-highs. By the end of the
day, it should start building a bit more, but Thursday will be better.
It’s then that waves should hit the chest-high area occasionally. And
Friday will be even better, so get that vacation day set.
