WEATHER FORECAST
It may be a bit breezy today, but the highs should still top 70 in
Newport-Mesa under mostly sunny skies. Overnight lows will drop into the
mid- to high 40s. Friday should look similar, though with much less wind.
Though the weekend’s not looking as fruitful, enjoy today and Friday
to the fullest.

BOATING FORECAST
In the inner waters, there will be areas of dense fog. The northerly

of 4 to 8 feet. Later, the winds will ease to 10 knots.
Out farther, the northerly winds will blow 10 to 20 knots, with 1- to
3-foot waves and a northwest swell of 8 to 12 feet. Later, the winds will
become northeasterly and will blow 15 knots. The northwestern swell will

SURF
Wednesday’s surf didn’t pan out as well as expected. There were some
overheads, but it just wasn’t clean enough. The northwest swell will back
down today, so expect waves in the waist- to shoulder-high range. Friday
will be slightly smaller, but another northwest swell will come in
Saturday.
