Chanel, one of two kittens who were born without eyelids, still needs
a home. She will need one or two more reconstructive eyelid surgeries,
for which donations are being accepted.
While Allure, the other kitten without eyelids, was adopted over the
weekend, one Christmas kitten died. Volunteers from the Animal Network of
Orange County grieved over the loss. Local veterinarian Dr. Tim Donnelly
treated the ill kitten on Christmas Day and took it home, where the
feline died Tuesday morning.
Nine more kittens will be available for adoption Saturdays and Sundays
through the network in front of Russo’s Pet Experience at Fashion Island,
1013 Newport Center Drive, Newport Beach.
The group’s financial arm, the Community Animal Network, accepts
donations for medical bills. Donations may be sent to P.O. Box 8662,
Newport Beach, CA 92658.
