The Balboa Merchants and Owners Assn. will host its Bay to Beach Block
Party on Sept. 9.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place on
the Balboa Peninsula at the point where the ferry, the Pavilion and the
Balboa Pier meet. It lasts from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Highlights include a display of classic Woodys, Model A and T
automobiles, a display from the Huntington Beach International Surfing
Museum, a sidewalk sale and a special event hosted by the Balboa Theater.
Four surf bands -- the Long Boarders, Dead Men Don’t Surf, The
Slimstones and Hillbilly Sol Surfers -- will perform.
Local restaurants and will offer everything from cotton candy and hot
dogs to gourmet dinners.
