Crunch outlasts Renegades, 6-4

The Crunch won a tight contest from the Renegades by outscoring
their Lemieux Division rival, 3-1 in the fourth quarter, to earn a 6-4
victory at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.
Chaz Grant scored off an Alan Hodge assist at the 9:22 mark of the final
period to break a 4-4 tie, and Jessen Zimmerman added an insurance goal
with 8:44 to play.
Zimmerman also scored single goals in each of the first two periods,
Michael Delgleize and Hodge each scored once, and Delgleize and
Christopher Emerson each added an assist to complete the Crunch’s
offense.
David Kirchner scored twice with an assist, Greg Pearce and Matt Kurokawa
both scored once, and Marc Lopez had two assists to lead the Renegades.
Renegades goalie Jeremy Nelson stopped 27 shot attempts, while Crunch
goalie Cliff Smith recorded 21 saves.

With goalie Casey Becking getting 20 saves and the defense stopping
Extreme cold, the Blades scored the shutout victory.
Matthew Sandoval and Scott Willis each scored unassisted goals for the
Blades.
Extreme goalie Virgil De Los Reyes saved 23 shots on goal.
