CMNLL Majors: Marlins rally to beat Diamondbacks

COSTA MESA - The Marlins overcame a big early-game deficit to rally
past the Diamondbacks, 9-8, in Costa Mesa National Little League Majors
Division action last weekend.
Trailing, 8-2, after the first inning, the Marlins tied the game in the
second before scoring the game-winner in the ninth.
Evan Spencer doubled in the ninth inning and later scored on a Victor
Valdez single to win the game for the Marlins.
Ryan Bagwell had three doubles and three RBIs, while Valdez and Jeremy
Speea each had two hits.
Vinnie Valdez, Mike Wolfe and Taylor Higgins each added singles for the
Marlins.
On the mound, the Valdez brothers and Bagwell combined to strikeout 16
D-Backs.
In other Majors Division action:
Marlins 4, Astros 0 - Victor Valdez had two hits and an RBI to lead the
Marlins past the Astros.
Vinnie Valdez, Ryan Bagwell, Evan Spencer, Jeremy Speea and Alex Robles
each added key hits, while Eric Seagondollar added an RBI.
Bagwell and Victor Valdez combined to toss a two-hitter with eight
strikeouts.
