Orange Coast College’s 52nd commencement will be held at 6:30 p.m. May 25
at LeBard Stadium on campus. Nearly 2,000 students will be awarded
associate’s degrees and certificates.
College faculty and administration will lead the procession onto the
field in full academic regalia.
This year’s commencement speaker will be professor Steven J. Goetz of
Irvine, OCC’s 1999-2000 Faculty Member of the Year. Kelly Walters of
Santa Ana will be the student speaker.
The college will also present its annual Outstanding Citizen Award and
honorary degree to a local OCC supporter that evening.
The graduates will be presented by college president Margaret A. Gratton.
A gala reception for the graduates and their families will be held on the
field following the ceremony.
