Baseball: Bauermeister to hold free coaching seminars

COSTA MESA - Costa Mesa High’s baseball coach Kirk Bauermeister

will host two free coaching seminars for youth and prep coaches Jan. 23

and Feb. 6.

Both clinics will run from noon to 4 p.m..

On Jan. 23, Major League players, coaches and scouts will be on hand

to instruct hitting, baserunning, outfield play and catching.

Players such as Rich Amaral (Baltimore Orioles), Jeff Gardner (San

Diego Padres), Steve Springer (Arizona Diamondbacks) and Matt Lundin

(Philadelphia Phillies) will be at the seminar.

On Feb. 6, for prep coaches, the focus will be on how to run a

practice, practice organization, how to keep everyone involved during

practice and how to keep the practices fun.
