HUNTINGTON BEACH -- A bank teller was injured Wednesday when three men
robbed the Wells Fargo Bank at Goldenwest Street and Bolsa Avenue, police
said.
One suspect was taken into custody at the scene.
Police would not disclose the extent of the teller’s injuries, nor the
amount of money taken, at press time Wednesday.
Two undercover officers for the Orange County district attorney’s
office were in the area when they heard the call over their radio and
responded, catching one of the suspects at the scene.
Police were still searching for the other two men Wednesday afternoon,
police said.
Yellow police tape cordoned off the area surrounding the bank, as
plainclothes and uniformed officers were milled about. Other officers
checked for evidence in a purple Neon parked in front of the bank’s
entrance.
