Cyclist hospitalized after collision with car near UC Irvine

A bicyclist was taken to a hospital with serious injuries after a collision with a car near UC Irvine, police said.
The Irvine Police Department responded to a report of the crash at about 9:30 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Campus Drive and Stanford Court.
The driver of the car remained on the scene, and no citation or arrest was made, the department said Tuesday.
An investigation of the crash is continuing, police said.
