Huck Finn Fishing Derby lures young anglers in Huntington Beach

Children lined up to cast their lines Saturday in the 55th annual Huck Finn Fishing Derby at the Huntington Beach Pier.
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife provided bait, loaner rods and guidance for participants. The event also included face painting.
Prizes were given for the largest fish caught in each division and to the best-dressed Huckleberry Finn and Becky Thatcher impersonators.
