Motorcyclist killed in crash with car in Costa Mesa

A 63-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash with another vehicle Wednesday in Costa Mesa, police said.
Costa Mesa police and paramedics responded to a report of a crash on Airway Avenue near Lear Avenue about 8:50 a.m., said spokeswoman Roxi Fyad.
A motorcycle and a white BMW sedan collided as they were traveling on Airway Avenue, according to Fyad.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released the person’s name.
The 24-year-old driver of the sedan remained at the scene. No arrests were made.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash. Anyone with additional information is asked to call traffic investigator Darren Wood at (714) 754-5264.
