The Balboa Island Parade set off Sunday for the 26th year on Newport Beach’s famed harbor enclave.
Floats, marching bands, drill teams and local dignitaries including grand marshal Bill Stewart, a World War II and Korean War veteran, were among the highlights of the parade along Marine Avenue. This year’s theme was “Our Treasured Island.”
