Tea Party to host candidates forum

The Newport Mesa Tea Party will host two candidates running for a seat on the Orange County Board of Supervisors and offer a chance for the public to ask them questions Thursday.
Assemblyman Allan Mansoor (R-Costa Mesa) and Michelle Steel, Orange County’s representative on the state Board of Equalization, are both running for the District 2 supervisor seat held by John Moorlach, who is being termed out.
District 2 covers Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, Seal Beach and parts of Fountain Valley
Mansoor and Steel will speak and answer questions between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. at Halecrest Park Swim & Tennis Club, 3107 Killybrooke Lane in Costa Mesa, according to an announcement from the group.
Orange County Republican Party Chairman Scott Baugh will also speak at the free event.
