Charity League holds annual fashion show

The junior division of the Newport Beach chapter of National Charity League, a mother-daughter service organization, held its annual fashion show luncheon Saturday at the Balboa Bay Club.
Sixth-graders took to the runway alongside professional models for a show sponsored by Bloomingdale’s. The students, many of whom began volunteering with the group in kindergarten, will graduate from the junior division this year.
A silent and live auction, plus individual underwriters, helped raise more than $90,000. The funds will be divided among the three charities supported by the junior division: High Hopes Injury Center, Harry and Grace Steele Children Center, and Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation.
