Christmas Boat Parade awards dinner set for Jan. 24

Winners from the 2013 Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade and Ring of Lights will see their efforts recognized at a gala Jan. 24.

The event, which features dinner and an auction and is hosted by the Commodores Club of the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce, will be at 6 p.m. at the Island Hotel.

Tickets are $125. Sponsorships for a table of 10 cost $1,500.

Winners for awards such as best lights, best music and best sailboat will receive two complimentary tickets and an invitation to a private champagne reception beforehand.

Live and silent auction items will include weekend getaways, jewelry and dining. Auction donations are still being accepted.
