Police pursuit temporarily shuts down part of Route 66 in Glendora

A police pursuit of a burglary suspect in Glendora shut down both sides of Route 66 between Glendora and Grand avenues Thursday during peak hours of the morning commute.
Glendora police said they arrested the suspect within an hour of their search.

Authorities had shut down part of the freeway as they pursued the suspect, described as a man in his 30s who was possibly armed. The suspect fled when Glendora police responded to a call about the burglary, authorities said.
The route has been reopened, according to police.
