Bank unloads Allen Iverson’s foreclosed home in Georgia

Allen Iverson’s former home, which he lost to foreclosure, has traded hands in Georgia for a dirt-cheap $725,000.
Wells Fargo & Co. took ownership of the estate in 2017 after suing the Hall of Famer for failing to make mortgage payments on the property, according to reports. Iverson paid $2.19 million for the place in 2006, records show.
Designed in European style, the brick-finished two-story home holds seven bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms across roughly 6,000 square feet.
The interior could use some remodeling, but current highlights include arched columns, elegant molding and wood-inlaid floors. There’s a living room with a floor-to-ceiling fireplace, a family room with a wet bar and an eat-in kitchen.
Krueger Brent Realty held the listing. Harry Norman Realtors represented the buyer.
Iverson, 43, spent the majority of his highlight-filled career with the 76ers, where he won Rookie of the Year in 1997 and an MVP award in 2001. He also played stints with the Nuggets, Pistons and Grizzlies before being inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2016.
No stranger to foreclosure, Iverson has also lost homes in Atlanta and Denver.
