Reporting from Las Vegas — Kids can have more fun than jumping in a muddy puddle during Peppa Pig’s first theatrical tour in the United States. “Peppa Pig’s Big Splash,” based on the animated show on Nick Jr., stops at the Cox Pavilion at the University of Nevada Las Vegas on Feb. 19, 2016.
The live performance is meant for preschoolers and young fans heading to their first theater show. The musical production features a dozen songs kids will know and can sing along with.
The show opens with a dilemma; the nursery roof is leaking, and Peppa and her friends need to fix it. The team raises money at a fair so Mr. Bull can do the repairs. Characters from the cartoon version, including Peppa, George, Mummy and Daddy Pig, along with Danny Dog, Pedro Pony and Suzy Sheep, organize competition with puddle jumping judged by Mr. Potato, and everyone gets wet. Singing, dancing, games and muddy puddles round out the fun.
The television show that airs weekdays on Nick Jr. follows the adventures of Peppa, a lovable, little piggy who lives with her brother George, Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig.
Tickets start at $35 and go on sale Friday.
