Reporting from Las Vegas — He’s been called, “The funniest man in, well, pretty much all of the known universe,” by The Los Angeles Times and, “The greatest British standup comedian of his generation,” by The London Sunday Times.
Comic genius Eddie Izzard returns to the United States with his massive Force Majeure world tour that takes him through 25 cities with two nights in Las Vegas in June.
The British comedian’s most extensive comedy tour ever launched in March 2013 with stops worldwide in 25 countries. The self-proclaimed transvestite sports red nail polish and Cuban heels as he tackles religion and politics, two of his favorite topics, with his whip-smart banter.
Recently in Perth, Australian, he admitted that he admired the Romans because, “They fought in skirts, and I’m with them on that,” even thought they expanded their empire through force and murder.
Izzard stars in the Playstation original series, “Powers,” which debuts on March 10. He guest starred in the series, “Hannibal,” on NBC, starred in the FX Network Show, “The Riches,” opposite Minnie Driver.
The comedian is no stranger to the big screen either. He starred opposite Tom Cruise in “Valkyrie,” as well as in “Ocean’s Twelve” and “Ocean’s Thirteen.”
He takes over the stage at the 2,500-seat Pearl at the Palms on Friday, June 12, and Saturday, June 13.
Tickets start at $53 and go on sale Friday, Feb. 20, at 10 a.m.
Tickets: Pearl at the Palms, (702) 944-3200
