Delano showcases works from Las Vegas artist Zak Ostrowski
Reporting from Las Vegas — Las Vegas artist Zak Ostrowski gets his day in the sun with an exhibit of his installation “Gravitation†at the Delano Las Vegas.
The artist finds inspiration in the Mojave desert surrounding Las Vegas, using locally sourced materials in the works. For example, a sculptural bench made of concrete mixes art, design and nature with desert sandstone in the finished piece.
“Delano Las Vegas is a very unique Strip hotel as it is so mindful of its environment,†Ostrowski says in a press statement. “The design of Delano is representative of the natural beauty found throughout Las Vegas and beyond — like the red rocks and colors of the sunsets — and my art is meant to be a reflection of the same elements.â€
Now through July 6, Ostrowski’s collection of paintings, sculptures and furniture are on display in the hotel’s lobby.
