Oregon: Go skiing and then sipping on this winter tour
- Share via
Here’s a heady mix for a winter tour: snow and wine -- just not at exactly the same time.
EverGreen Escapes offers an eight-day Oregon Winter Wonderloop trip that includes skiing/snowboarding at the state’s high point, Mt. Hood, and Mt. Bachelor as well as snowmobiling at Crater Lake National Park. Lunch times are spent eating and sampling wines at Maragas Winery in Bend and Red Ridge Farm in the Willamette Valley.
The trip begins with a tasting at Cathedral Ridge winery and a tour of the Columbia Gorge Waterfall and ends with sightseeing and a night’s stay in Portland. Group size is 10 or less, and a van shuttles you from spot to spot.
When: Tours run Jan. 12-19, Feb. 9-16, March 9-16 and April 6-13.
Price: $2,625 per person, double occupancy. It includes hotel transfers, experienced guide, van transportation to activities, most meals, Oregon wine tastings, overnight lodgings, activities and equipment and park entry fees. Airfare to and from Portland is extra.
