Uncork Wine Road to savor Sonoma
Both a virtual and honest-to-goodness human guide to wine country in northern Sonoma County.
Name: WineRoad.com.
What it does: Provides visitor information for 186 wineries and 56 lodgings in the Alexander, Dry Creek and Russian River valleys.
What’s hot: Need help planning your next trip to wine country? Information about restaurants, lodging, recreation and transportation is available online, but a little-known secret about the website is that there’s a human concierge ready to answer your questions about traveling to northern Sonoma County. Tracy Logan, Wine Road member and guest concierge, has been with Wine Road since 1994 and can be reached by using the “Contact us†link. Read her Wine Road blog found in the “Visit†section to see personal photos of lodging options, wineries and event recaps.
What’s not: First-time travelers to the area who want to go wine-tasting in Napa and Sonoma might not realize that this website just covers the northern section of Sonoma. It has nothing to do with Napa, although it is not too far away. There are more than enough gems in northern Sonoma for a memorable trip.
