Singapore: New W hotel on Sentosa Island will open in September

A new W hotel is set to open on Sentosa, one of Singapore’s southern islands, on Sept. 16. The 240-room resort will sport trendy W decor and splashy beach bars at its marina overlook that’s close to a casino and Universal Studios Singapore. The hotel is accepting reservations now -- and has an introductory offer good through the end of the year.
The deal: The hotel’s Island Glamour Welcome introductory offer starts about $308 a night, plus tax and service charges. It comes with breakfast for two at the hotel’s Kitchen Table restaurant and cocktails for two at the Woo Bar. SPG Preferred loyalty members earn double points with this deal too.
When: The offer is good through Dec. 30.
Tested: I found availability for the deal Oct. 14-21 for a room with a king-sized bed and a walk-in “rain-forest” shower. The same room on the same nights without the extras in this deal would cost $390 plus tax and fees.
