While Republican presidential nominees duke it out on endless debates and President Obama tweaks his reelection strategy, chef Gordon Ramsay is noisily taking over the world. Hotels and restaurants might as well just start hanging out “Gordon was here†signs to warn the rest of us. Here’s what’s been announced this week alone about happenings on Planet Gordon.

The cranky charmer from “Hell’s Kitchen†and “Kitchen Nightmares†will launch “Hotel Hell†on Fox in March -- yes, yet another reality TV show riven with dramatic spats in the “Hell†franchise. In this show, according to a press release, the master chef takes on not just restaurants but (as the hellish title implies) the hotel too.

Ramsay recently spent five days redoing the lobby and a suite at the Keating Hotel in San Diego (Ian Schrager, time to brush up your master chef skills?) while overhauling the hotel’s Merk restaurant. Yes, people, now you can order lavender panna cotta with hazelnut brittle at the Merk.

Next comes word that Ramsay is opening his first Las Vegas restaurant this spring -- Gordon Ramsay Steak -- at Paris Las Vegas, replacing the current Les Artistes Steakhouse. The 274-seater will rock the hotel’s theme world by reflecting “the resort’s Parisian theme with Ramsay’s British heritage,†says a statement from casino giant Harrahs, which owns the hotel. Just what the world needs, a London-Paris mash-up set in Vegas; it sounds like a film shoot rather than an eatery. Along with steakhouse food, Ramsay will bring fish and chips and shepherd’s pie to the menu.

And just in case you (heart) Gordon and can’t get enough of him, diners are invited to spend Valentine’s Day at his signature restaurant in the London West Hollywood for a cool $135 per person. That gets you a choice of grilled kingfish sashimi, foie gras tortellini, prime beef Wellington and other Ramsay wonders as well as a glass of wine.

What’s next? “Cruise Ship Nightmare†with a redo of the Disney Wonder and Mickey sent overboard? “Airline Hell†where he trashes snack bags in favor of his signature pretzels with bechamel?

I can hardly wait.
