New York City after dark becomes a dazzle fest of holiday decorations at this time of year. Gray Line New York’s usual double-decker bus night tour morphs into a Holiday Lights tour in December that comes with a little savings for those who book online.
The deal: The two-hour Holiday Lights tour offers an online discount price of $39 for adults and $29 for children 3 to 11 years old. The night tour on Gray Line’s double-decker bus visits the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, Times Square, Macy’s, Central Park, Radio City Music Hall, St. Patrick’s Cathedral and other landmarks decked out for the holidays.
When: Tours leave daily every 30 minutes between 6 and 8:30 p.m. Blackout dates are Dec. 24, 25, 31 and Jan. 1.
Tested: The online price takes $5 off the regular price. Tours leave from the bus company’s Visitor Center at 777 8th Ave. and the Times Square stop at 7th Avenue between 47th and 48th streets.
