Your Scene: Saying ‘Hola’ in Peru
Michael Tong and his wife, Nancy, traveled to Peru in March to hike the Inca Trail up to Machu Picchu. As they were adjusting to the altitude in Cuzco, they visited the salt mines of Maras about 20 miles northwest. During the drive, Tong spotted this Peruvian girl with a herd of donkeys and sheep.
“I said a quick ‘hola’ to get her attention and snapped a picture from the car,” he said.
The Los Angeles resident used a Canon EOS Rebel XSi.
