Classical music and more in San Luis Obispo

Mozart Festival: The San Luis Obispo Mozart Festival starts with the Fringe Concert Series that throws classical a curve, with opera-rock, bluegrass-gypsy fare, Ukrainian folk-punk and other music-melding. Then it’s back to classical Mozart with dramatic music in matching settings.

When, where: Fringe Concert Series runs Friday to July 13; Mozart Festival continues July 13 to 22 at indoor and outdoor venues throughout San Luis Obispo County.

Admission: From free to $57.
