Miami Book Fair International
More than 300 authors will read from their books in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Haitian Creole, at the multiculti fair expected to draw about 250,000 literature fans. Among the big names: Rosie O’Donnell, Nikki Giovanni, Caroline Kennedy, Christopher Hitchens, Diane Ackerman and Edwige Danticat. Other highlights: the Street Fair; Antiquarian Annex; and Children’s Alley, with readings, book signings, performances and hands-on activities.
When, where: Nov. 4 to 11, at Miami Dade College, Wolfson Campus, 300 N.E. 2nd Ave.
Cost: Nov. 4 to 9 free. Nov. 10 and 11, $5 for those 18 and older, 17 and younger free.
