African safari? Been there, done that. Now see it from a luxury train

Ride the rails through South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Tanzania on an excursion offered by Frontiers International Travel.

The 15-day train trip aboard the Pride of Africa begins in Cape Town and takes passengers to the diamond town of Kimberley and the capital city of Pretoria, followed by two nights in the Madikwe Game Reserve. The train continues through Botswana into Zimbabwe, where passengers spend the night at the Victoria Falls Hotel.

After crossing the Zambezi River, the train joins the Tazara line in Zambia, climbs to the Tanzanian border, descends into the Great Rift Valley and traverses the Selous Game Reserve — the largest in Africa — before arriving in Dar es Salaam.
