Nepal photo tour turns the camera on wildlife and culture

Wildlife, temples and vistas are the themes of a 13-day tour of Nepal offered by instructor Peter West Carey and Far Horizon Photo Tours.
The trip includes a stop at Chitwan National Park for an attempt at photographing rhinos, tigers and birds; a visit to the birthplace of Buddha in Lumbini; and a flight over the Himalayas to view Mount Everest.
Photography instruction will be offered on subjects such as travel portraiture, wildlife, landscapes and architecture.
Van-based tour with easy-to-moderate hikes. Group size limited to six.
Dates: Oct. 27-Nov. 8
Price: $3,300 per person, double occupancy; single supplement available. Includes all lodging and meals, in-country airfare and flight over the Himalayas, photography game visits, visits to UNESCO sites, guide, driver and entry fees. International airfare, visa fees and gratuities not included.
