Disney Wonder drops four sailings from L.A. to Mexico for 2012
Four Disney Wonder cruises from Los Angeles to Mexico next December have been scrapped in favor of a new itinerary, but the cruise line isn’t saying to where.
Rebecca Peddie, manager of public affairs for Disney Cruise Line, says 2012 sailings planned for Dec. 9, 16, 23 and 30 that would have stopped at Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta and other Mexican cities have been canceled. Guests who made reservations are being offered spots on other Disney cruises next year.
Peddie says the change comes as the cruise line plans for a new itinerary -- one that won’t be announced until later -- for Disney Wonder in 2013. “We’re always looking to bring the ship to new places,” she said. The ship will sail to Hawaii, Alaska, Vancouver, Canada, and other destinations next year.
The cruise line will continue other scheduled sailings from Los Angeles to Mexico throughout 2012.
