Fall bike tour from Charleston to Savannah just might be your speed

If you enjoy biking but don’t want to overdo it, a trip from the bike-tour experts at VBT might be just your speed. Among the company’s fall offerings is an easy (two to three hours per day) riding tour from Charleston, S.C., to Savannah, Ga.
The group, riding 13 to 28 miles per day, will travel along the scenic Intercoastal Waterway to the Sea Islands on a seven-day tour. They will also stop in Beaufort, S.C., to attend a social and dance the Virginia Reel, tour plantations, take a walking tour of Savannah, Ga., and take part in other activities along the route.
Dates: Sept. 27, Oct. 4, 11, 18, 25 and Nov. 8
Price: Rates from $2,195 per person, double occupancy; single supplement $595. Includes six nights’ accommodations in inns along the route, 12 meals, bicycle and equipment use, van support, guides, tours and activities. Airfare is not included.
