Reader recommendation: Barnfield House B&B in Sheffield, England
I was in England over Christmas and stayed at a wonderful bed and breakfast just outside Sheffield in the beautiful semi-rural Loxley Valley of South Yorkshire. Helen and Michael Rogers, proprietors of Barnfield House, provided first-class hospitality and quality with six en-suite rooms themed around local mythical hero Robin of Loxley. I stayed in the Will Scarlet room and was greeted in the morning with a full Yorkshire breakfast or a continental alternative if preferred. Rates are reasonable and vary according to the season.
