Reader recommendation: Yellowstone Assn.
For those planning a visit to Yellowstone, I recommend a trip with the Yellowstone Assn. My friend and I went with them on Trails Through Yellowstone in late July. Our terrific leader/naturalist led us on easy hikes while imparting information on wildlife, geology, trees etc. We went to the enclosure where wolves were kept when they were first reintroduced to Yellowstone, to a geyser that can only be reached by hiking and thus is not crowded, and to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. The five-day trip included lodging at Mammoth Hot Springs and Grant Village and several meals.
