Steaming volcanoes, a cobalt-blue sea and tranquil villages draw visitors to Sicily and the Aeolian Islands, a bucket-list stop for those who love European islands.
A new custom tour by Blue Parallel explores the region, visiting volcanoes such as Mt. Etna and still-boiling Stromboli, cities such as Palermo, and remote villages where locals still live the way their ancestors did.
Activities include visits to UNESCO sites, hiking, biking, boating and cooking classes. The group will fly to the Aeolian Islands by private helicopter.
Dates: Anytime beginning in September
Price: $15,500 per person, based on a private party of four people. Included in this 11-day tour are round-trip private helicopter service to the Aeolian Islands, accommodations, some meals, transportation, private tours, activities, spa treatments and entrance fees. International airfare not included.
