Pet of the Week: Shuffle
Shuffle’s name describes his shelter experience. Since arriving in March as a stray, he seems lost in the shuffle of other dogs. Volunteers wonder why everyone has overlooked this handsome guy, who loves getting out for walks and would make a great running companion.
Shuffle is 3 to 4 years old, weighs 65 pounds, is healthy and appears housebroken. With exact lineage unknown, Shuffle is presumed to be a pit bull and Labrador retriever mix. Like any large, strong breed, he needs guidance. He is alert, generally responding to direction, and will benefit from continued training.
Shuffle’s interest in other canines seems more about play than aggression, although adopters are always advised to introduce other household animals before adding a new member. As with all so-called bully breeds, his fees — which include neutering — are reduced 50%.
